My Approach
-
Anti-oppressive
My work is rooted in ecological anti-capitalism, abolition, queer feminism, disability justice, fat liberation, pleasure activism, and harm reduction.
-
Collaborative
I work in partnership with folks who are interested in exploring their relationships with nourishment and embodiment.
-
Speculative Futures
Let’s radically imagine different ways of relating to and behaving towards food and body.
ABOUT ME
I am a queer, white (Irish & Hungarian ancestry) registered dietitian (RDN) and certified intuitive eating counselor.
I am an enthusiasm enthusiast who loves to read poetry, gleefully cackle while watching SNL, play pick-up soccer, skip down trader joe's aisles looking for seasonal snacks, explore and support liberatory work, gasp at the splendor of flowers, have cuddle puddles with my partner and rescue pups, mirror dance, and eat with gusto. I’m a student of Vipanassa (Insight) Meditation and aim to make all aspects of my life, my practice.
I firmly believe :
- that the way we approach food is the way we approach life.
-that we heal from a whole place.
-that apples fritters are the universe's gift to my tastebuds.
- we all deserve to feel safe and good in our skin and that often means disrupting oppressive systems and patterns within and outside of us.
-that the Quakers were right when they said that we need to speak truth to power to get free.
